Amal Monobloc Carburetters

The "Monobloc" design replaced the 274,275 & 276 series carbs and were fitted to various British and European motorcycles

The Monobloc carbs have calibrated jets. Easy starting, slow running, acceleration flexibilty, power and economy are all obtainable because of the design and also, because the carburetter is so simple to tune up by the owner.

Amal 900 MKI Concentric (4 Stroke) Carburetters

The Mark 1 series of carburetters was introduced in 1967, offering bore sizes from 22mm through to 32mm.

The versatile design offered left and right hand positioning to improve access to adjustment, and became available in discreet 2-stroke and 4-stroke configurations.

The concentric arrangement of the float bowl around the main jet removed the sensitivity to fuel surge of earlier carbs while the design of the slide and throat optimised air velocity.

In addition to being universally adopted by British manufacturers, it was widely fitted to Spanish motorcycles and offered as a superior replacement for all previous Amal carbs including the GP racing carb.

Amal Junction Boxes

Part #	Description
244/104	For twin cable control, Amal no. 244/104 nylon. This junction box is used on machines which have two separate carburettors. Single cable entry from twistgrip or air lever and two cable outlets for twin carburettors.
244/2080	For triple cable control, Amal no. 244/2080 nylon. This junction box is used on machines which have three separate carburettors. Single cable entry from twistgrip or air lever and three cable outlets for three carburettors.

Viton Needle

The New 'Viton' rubber tipped float needle fits all Amal Concentic and Monobloc Carbs.

It has been specifically designed to help in overcoming carburettor flooding problems of all kinds - notably those caused by dirt or wear after prolonged usage.

The rubber tip of every float needle is precision ground to provide a truly conical surface for perfect sealing and is unaffected by all normal gasoline type fuels.
